This may sound obvious for start-ups and “native” entrepreneurs who don’t want to waste time just because they cannot afford it (financially & emotionally). But it is less so for some corporations where the risk aversion is higher because of their valuable legacy. In this type of environment, there might be a tendancy to over-cover your ass, to over-report or to over-plan.

The risk that I strive to avoid by this proposal, is that as your managers are trained to quickly and inexpensively state & test their assumptions, they will keep on stating & testing for too long. At some point, once all critical assumptions have been validated, it becomes better to go real life. This rephrasing might help our teams to think that way too.
