They have crippled the phone – and their users – rather than enabling them. This is insane corporate behaviour, both in terms of Apple’s own interests, and the progress of mobile work, which I would presume they would like to see grow. I am sure I am not the only person who is immensely frustrated by this, and may turn away from Apple because of it.
C’mon Apple – snap out of it and please realize what an intensely dumb approach you’re taking here.

Yeah, it frustrates the sh*t out of me too. I’d buy an iPhone TOMORROW at 9h00 am if bluetooth was enabled.
Go Android go !! Can’t wait.

For now, the iPhone is the best on the market and I love everything it CAN do.

This means that their designs are of a very high quality (with that control freak mania for detail) but that their broader product ecosystems will always be crippled.
I had been considering buying an iPhone this week but you’ve reminded why being locked into a 2 year relationship where one of the parties is a control freak may have a downside…
