I interpret this as how we can harness the collective knowledge of individuals and different sources of information in order to create better solutions to our problems.
Web 2.0 and its next stage of evolution, web 3.0, has the potential for enterprises to gather real time information and processes these information to a more meaningful knowledge for their operation.
Some of the relevant questions that they can use as a simple guideline for adopting web 2.0 technologies are:
1.What do we hope to achieve through using web 2.0 to manage knowledge ?
2.What applications do you think you need?
3.Is your focus on following best practice in-house; establishing an external standard; encouraging innovation and creativity; or learning knowledge from data?
4.What technologies do you think you need? What technologies do you currently have skills in?
5.Do your people rely on explicit or tacit knowledge to solve problems?
6.Do you plan to analyse existing knowledge or to create new knowledge?
I hope my reflection on this subject adds some value to your existing blog. I look forward for more entries from you.
Cheers
